The Rival's Cave

Okay so I found this recorder while spelunking in the cave. I think it’s from a kid but I don’t know. I hope he is alright. Here I’ll play it for you guys. I think it's that kid who lost his brother in our neighborhood.

9:30A.M. 10/23/09

Alright, so I think I’m ready to go to that…cave. I really don’t know what to expect in there. I mean Yellow’s RIVAL could possibly be in there… I just want to find my brother and get away from this. I’m going to take a few things with me as I go into the cave. A flashlight, backpack, and some food. I am also going to take my Gameboy to see if I can get the thing to come back out again. I mean it worked once, why not try it again?

10:24A.M. 10/23/09

So I’m inside the cave now, and the first thing I noticed was…it was VERY large. I don’t know if I will be able to find him today, I mean since it’s so big. It’ll probably take a few days to look through the cave thoroughly. I have a few battery packs for the flashlight and they are rechargeable so I should be able to get further than with only one flashlight. I’ll record anything else I find on this recorder.

11:16A.M. 10/23/09

I found a paper on a stalagmite, it says, “Go Home”, I think it’s just some stupid kids trying to scare anyone who comes here. Anyway this was just an update, I didn’t find him yet but I feel like I’m getting close. I hope I am because I miss him.

5:13P.M. 10/23/09

I’m tired…Maybe I can use my sleeping bag to sleep in here. I don’t want to go back till I find him. I didn’t keep track of time so it kinda went to far. It’s 5PM anyways. Well I’m going to camp here, I’ll talk to you guys, whoever finds these, later.

9:46P.M. 10/23/09

*Shaky voice* So I don’t know if I really heard this but I think I might have heard a…a wolf pack. I don’t think this is just any cave. I thought it was abandoned. If this isn’t abandoned then there’s a better chance to finding my brother. Well I’m picking all my stuff up and I’m going to keep moving.

10:57P.M. 10/23/09

So I’m walking down a slope I don’t think I should. It’s something I can just slip and break my neck on. I found my brother though, he isn’t awake but breathing, he might wake up soon so I’ll just wait here with him. I’ll make another recording when he wakes up.

1:32A.M. 10/24/09

He’s awake but doesn’t feel well. I might have to pick him up and climb out with him on my back. I’m leaving my recordings where I last recorded them. Hopefully someone finds these if we don’t make it out, or if we do. It doesn’t matter.  Thank you for listening to these whoever you are.

So I have found the exit, but someone’s sitting on a rock there. I’m going to walk towards him and talk to him. H-hello? Who are you? “You don’t remember me? I’m your Rival, Jack. You should remember who I am.” You…you took my brother! Why should I WANT to remember you? “Because Jack, if you don’t beat me. I will kill you and your brother.” No! We aren’t fighting! At least not now! I need to take my brother home. “Go ahead, Jack. But if you’re not back in 2 days everyone you love will be dead. Go..”

9:12A.M. 10/24/09

So, I’m back and I am thinking of just going to go to the cave and find him again. My brother is fine. He’s sleeping though, so hopefully he won’t see me leave. I might not come back so. I’ll see you guys, or not, later.

The Rival

Now, this isn’t a Creepypasta. This is real life. It started with a Pokemon game, Yellow, while I was playing with my brother. Here I wrote what happened down when I was younger.

I recently started to play on my Gameboy. I asked my little brother if he wanted to play Pokemon with me. As always he said yes, and we went out on the porch and started playing. I wanted to play Yellow while he plays Silver. So we did just that. It was fun for a while. Till I wanted to use my Gameshark… I grabbed it out of the box that I have all my Gameboy things in. I pushed it into the Gameboy and started cheating. I..I found a code I’ve never seen on the Gameshark before. I asked my brother if he used it and he said no.. This is where it gets weird. When I activated the code and started playing I wasn’t in the same spot I last saved. I had all badges, when before I only had 6... I don’t know what this code did but it’s creeping me out. I asked my brother if he wanted to trade a few Pokemon. “Yeah, sure just let me get the cord and I’ll connect it for you.” He said. “Just hurry back, I don’t want to get bored because of you.” I yelled back. “Alright!” He screamed back. I started to go and see if I could get Missing.No, If you don’t know what that Pokemon is just go search Google or something. As I was getting into the water I saw…that there was my rival there. What was he doing there? He never showed here before… I shrugged it off not thinking anything of it. I walked into the water and started to look for Missing.No. When I was in the water my rival randomly came up to me and wanted to battle… But for some reason he had 7 Pokemon… And half of his body was missing. Like Missing.No’s body, but just have of it. Instead of saying he wanted to battle, it said “Run…Missing.No is he-” and blood came from his mouth. There wasn’t much animation in Yellow but for some reason it showed it flowing out. Then the battle started. I got down to his 6th Pokemon and he came out and said “STOP”. I was REALLY freaked out at this point. I beat his 6th Pokemon and….and Missing.No was his last, and 7th, Pokemon… How did he get this one? I threw a poke ball for shits and giggles, and it CAUGHT him! How does that happen?! Then my rival came out again. But this time… he wasn’t looking so well. He had one arm, one eye, and a missing nose… I was almost crying at this point. I mean how, WHY would this happen?! After my brother got back my Gameboy froze…I restarted the Gameboy and I was where I was originally. I went to the Pokemart to buy something. Then went to go trade with my brother. My brother wanted my Missing.No. I didn’t want to give it to him. Telling him what happened, he said I was lying. So I grabbed my things and said I want to go to sleep… I woke up the next morning with a jolt. I quickly grabbed my Gameboy, for a reason I don’t know. I turned it on and went into my save. It was the same as it was last time I saved. I got up ate and went outside. It was terrifyingly dark. The darkness grew….Thicker. Like fog right? Well, when I was walking down my street I saw…No… No. No. No…I couldn’t have…I think I saw my rival from Yellow… I started to walk towards the person. He…he looked back fast as lightning. His body still looking forward. Now I KNOW it was him. His arm gone…His eye… I couldn’t believe it. I was frozen with fear. I finally got my courage to turn around and run. I finally got home and closed the door. My mother was looking at me with anger. And then she asked where my brother was. “I don’t know, he was sleeping when I last saw him.” Then my mind just…shifted. I opened the door and stared into the darkness. There…my brother had a light and was walking towards the… The Rival… Then he grabbed my brother and disappeared. I still don’t know what happened to him.. There’s a cave nearby. Maybe he was taken there… I’ll search for him in a bit. For now.. Hopefully I can get some sleep.
